Measurement has always been a critical part of medical care. A patient’s blood pressure, pulse rate, height, and weight are key data points used for evaluation and treatment.
Until recently, psychiatric care has not typically utilized measurement in the same way, largely because of the difficulty in quantifying mental health problems. But that is changing, and Silver
Hill Hospital is at the forefront of measurement- based care in the field.
Today at Silver Hill, data are collected from surveys administered to patients at admission, during treatment and at discharge. The survey measures a patient’s levels of anxiety and depression, overall well-being, problems with functioning, and criteria for diagnoses.
Stronger Data for Better Outcomes
Silver Hill leads the way in utilizing patient data for more effective care.
