SILVER HILL HOSPITAL
ENDOWED FUNDS HELP IN PERPETUITY
Established in 2021 by gifts from friends and family, the Meridyth L. Davis Endowment Fund at Silver Hill Hospital provides financial assistance to Silver Hill Hospital patients
struggling with depression.
Meridyth “Mimi” Davis fought courageously against depression for decades before taking her own life in July 2020. COVID-19 derailed her plans to get treatment at a hospital near her home. Her loved ones created this Fund in her memory to give others with suicidal ideation the opportunity that she did not have to treat and manage her illness. This endowed fund, along with other endowed funds held by the Hospital, are invested so that annual disbursements will be available in perpetuity.
Tragically, suicide is the outcome for too many people who are living with clinical depression. This is particularly true for those who do not have access to help or quality professional care. Income from the Meridyth L. Davis Endowment Fund goes directly to patients who are at risk of suicide and fulfills Mimi’s wish of helping others living with depression and raising awareness of this insidious disease.
By creating an endowed fund at Silver Hill, you are ensuring that both current and future generations of patients benefit from your generosity.
