Bryan Cofrin, MS
“Our information technology systems help Silver Hill patients be an integral part of their care team.”
Information – access to it, the safety of it, the reliability of its flow – is the very lifeblood of modern healthcare. And at Silver Hill, the expert who keeps it all circulating is Bryan Cofrin.
“My team and I want our doctors, nurses, counselors, technicians, staff and patients to be able to communicate and access data with ease, right there at their fingertips, because then there is no gap in care,” Mr. Cofrin explains.
Mr. Cofrin sees information technology as vital to patient care because of its ability to closely involve each patient in treatment decisions. “The emphasis Silver Hill places on two-way patient communications, during and after their stay with us,” he says, “tells patients we value their input and we want to empower them to be participating members of the fully integrated care team.”
Yet despite its value, Mr. Cofrin wants information technology at Silver Hill to be all but invisible. “I want our care teams and patients to be using the technologies we offer without thinking twice about it,” he says, “where it’s just a normal part of their day to day routine, similar to breathing. The less we have to think about technology, the more we can focus on patients and their health.”
