Donna Anthony, MD, PhD
As Director and Team Lead of the Neuropsychiatric Program, Dr. Donna Anthony oversees residential services for individuals with complex psychotic disorders. With 30 years of clinical and leadership experience and a specialty in patients with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders, Dr. Anthony sets the clinical direction of the residential treatment program, providing ongoing training to clinical staff, and evaluating new treatment methods to ensure the most comprehensive and effective approach to care.
Dr. Anthony is well known throughout the region and the industry for her dedication to the care of patients with severe and persistent mental illness and for her devotion to teaching and mentoring psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. “I am excited to use and extend my clinical training to provide guidance and consultation for inpatients and outpatients with these conditions, and to work with the medical students, interns, and residents who choose to further their practical education and familiarity with the field of psychiatry at Silver Hill.”
In addition to her role at the hospital, Dr. Anthony is a professor of psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She has written more than 25 peer-reviewed articles on topics such as rehabilitation and adherence to care for schizophrenia patients as well as managing schizophrenia inpatient units, particularly during Covid-19.
