“I hope that our patients leave here feeling understood, and cared for, and on the road to feeling the way they want to feel.”
Howard Weiner, MD
“I hope that our patients leave here feeling understood, and cared for, and on the road to feeling the way they want to feel.”
Dr. Howard Weiner is a staff psychiatrist in the Silver Hill Neuropsychiatric Program. Â
In his role, Dr. Weiner seeks to make the kind of connection with each of his patients that maximizes healing. “It’s about working together and just leaving the other person feeling understood,” he says. “I want them to know that there’s someone out there who understands what they’re experiencing, because I think it makes all the difference to not feel alone with what they’re struggling with.”
Dr. Weiner feels his empathetic attitude is a part with the overall ethic of the hospital. “I feel very privileged to work at Silver Hill,” he says. “There’s a real intense dedication on the part of the leadership and staff to create an optimum experience for patients, by providing the highest quality of evidence-based care.”
