Differences in the social construction of Black and white subjectivity impact the therapeutic encounter, but how? How does our mind become racialized across development? Clinical case examples will demonstrate that understanding familial and cultural differences in racial ethnic socialization can impact the clinician’s ability to facilitate therapeutic engagement with patients of varying ethnic backgrounds at all ages.
