Project ECHO Connection: An exploration of non-mentalizing modes

With collaboration from leaders at the Silver Hill Institute in Connecticut and the Mentalizing Initiative in California, this program will introduce concepts of human attachment, mentalization, and reflective functioning. Mentalization is a process that is core to most psychotherapies and to human interactions.

60-Minute Session Includes:

·     Brief 20-minute didactic

·     Case-based learning

·     Discussion

·     No cost continuing education (each session approved for 1.0 hours)

·     Psychiatrists      

·     Psychologists       

·     Social Workers

·     Therapists

·     Nurses

·     Primary Care Physicians

·     Clinicians interested in the process of connecting and building trust with patients and clients

·     Anyone training or practicing in the field of mental health

The Mentalizing Initiative

The Mentalizing Initiative is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Mentalizing Initiative maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

 New York Social Worker Statement:

Silver Hill Hospital is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0728. Each program is approved for 1.0 contact hours.
