Project ECHO Connection: Mentalization and how we hold each other in mind
With collaboration from leaders at the Silver Hill Institute in Connecticut and the Mentalizing Initiative in California, this program will introduce concepts of human attachment, mentalization, and reflective functioning. Mentalization is a process that is core to most psychotherapies and to human interactions.
60-Minute Session Includes:
· Brief 20-minute didactic
· Case-based learning
· No cost continuing education (each session approved for 1.0 hours)
Target Audience Includes:
· Social Workers
· Primary Care Physicians
· Clinicians interested in the process of connecting and building trust with patients and clients
· Anyone training or practicing in the field of mental health
Attendance is not required at all sessions but is encouraged. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with Zoom information.
The Mentalizing Initiative is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Mentalizing Initiative maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
These activities has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Massachusetts Medical Society through the joint providership of Silver Hill Hospital and The Mentalizing Initiative. Silver Hill Hospital is accredited by the Massachusetts Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Silver Hill Hospital designates each live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Each program has been approved for 1.0 Continuing Education Credit Hours by the National Association of Social Workers, CT and meets the continuing education criteria for CT Social Work Licensure renewal. Approval also meets the continuing education criteria for CT LMFTs, LPCs, and licensed psychologists.

Silver Hill Hospital is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0728. Each program is approved for 1.0 contact hours.
