HOPE FOR THOSE WITH TREATMENT- RESISTANT DISORDERS

The Center for the Treatment and Study of Neuropsychiatric Disorders at Silver Hill Hospital is one of the very few of its kind in the U.S. The Center, based on the extraordinary work of Dr. Rocco “Rocky” Marotta, treats patients with severe and complex disorders such as bipolar and schizophrenia.
Dr. Marotta and his clinical team have been uniquely effective in improving outcomes for patients with these persistent disorders by using intensive clinical intervention along with various medications. Dr. Marotta has found that Clozapine (an antipsychotic
medication) and Oxytocin (a hormone that promotes bonding) are highly promising in treating the varying symptoms of severe psychiatric disorders.
Many of these patients have been treated at other facilities, but without success. After treatment at Silver Hill Hospital, however, they are able to return to work or school and reintegrate into meaningful relationships. The Center is working to document and share its uniquely successful methods to help people beyond Silver Hill.
