Brad Bloom, LCSW, CGP
“To be a part of a patient’s journey of healing and self development is the greatest privilege and pleasure.”
Healing and growth are what Brad Bloom is all about as Director of Social Work & Director of Training (social work). Brad is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Group Psychotherapist.
Brad works in a supervisory and teaching role with staff to “help them deliver quality, compassionate and effective treatment to our patients,” he says. “I have a passion for helping staff run exciting and healing groups. I believe group therapy has the power to give patients the opportunity to profoundly heal themselves and change their lives.”
Brad also works directly with patients. “I strive to help patients to see their strengths, and feel more confident about their ability to grow and change for the better-to know themselves, be more mindful, and manage their emotions more effectively, particularly in difficult situations.”
Having a positive impact on patients’ lives is what Brad lives for. “Sometimes,” he says, “it’s just seeing them be more at peace with themselves, less stressed, more hopeful, or more deeply accepting of their humanity.”
His mission is to fill each patient’s journey with progress. What gives Brad and his team the greatest satisfaction, he says, is knowing “that patients are getting a sense that we are all there for them.”
