Jazmin Maldonado, LCSW
Jazmin Maldonado, LCSW, is the Assistant Clinical Team Lead of KHouse, Silver Hill’s Adolescent Residential Program. She helps lead the clinical team alongside program director, Dr. Cara Toretta, assesses prospective patients, and contributes to program development.
What she takes most pride in is the daily clinical work — running groups, individual therapy, parent coaching, and family sessions, collaborating with outside providers, and planning aftercare. “Adolescence is such a critical time in a person’s development. There’s a lot of opportunity to have an impact. I find great meaning in that.”
Jazmin has spent her whole career at Silver Hill. She began volunteering as an undergraduate at nearby Fairfield University, joined the recreation team in 2014, then worked as a residential counselor and senior residential counselor while earning her Master of Social Work from Fordham University. Jazmin moved to the adolescent program as a clinician in 2020.
She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mentalization-Based Treatment, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and belongs to the National Association of Social Workers.
Outside of work, Jazmin is usually traveling internationally or enjoying the outdoors with her dog, Sedona.
