Nadia Gilbo, MD
Nadia Gilbo, MD, serves as Silver Hill’s Medical Director of Admissions. In this role, Dr. Gilbo oversees clinical evaluation and placement decisions for patients entering care. Dr. Gilbo has extensive experience evaluating and treating individuals with complex psychiatric conditions across inpatient and forensic settings. She joined Silver Hill from Whiting Forensic Hospital, where she served as Chief Medical Officer, overseeing care for patients with significant clinical and legal needs. Dr. Gilbo also holds an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University.
As Medical Director of Admissions, Dr. Gilbo will lead an interdisciplinary admissions team, review prospective patients for psychiatric and medical appropriateness, and collaborate closely with internal teams and referring providers to ensure timely, well-informed care decisions. She will also support care coordination across Silver Hill’s inpatient service and residential treatment programs.
In previous roles, Dr. Gilbo served as the Assistant Medical Director and Director of Inpatient Psychiatric Services at the Greater Bridgeport Community Mental Health Center, part of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. She completed her psychiatry residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident, and completed fellowships in forensic psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine.
