Silver Hill Expands Outpatient Offerings through The Practice at Silver Hill, PC

Silver Hill Hospital

Silver Hill recently launched two new specialty outpatient programs: Young Minds and Steward Outpatient. Developed in response to emerging needs and patient feedback, both programs were developed under the leadership of Amanda Calhoun, MD, MPH, Director of Outpatient Services, and operate under The Practice at Silver Hill, PC, a collection of comprehensive, private pay programs serving distinct groups.

The Practice at Silver Hill provides the platform to develop creative, evidence-based, small-group programs designed to have big impact,” says Dr. Calhoun.

“With this model, we synthesize findings from other Silver Hill programs — including residential and intensive outpatient programs — and create targeted programs to address core issues,” Dr. Calhoun continues. “Our specialized programs thrive on highly intentional programming and powerful group dynamics.”

About Young Minds

Launched in early 2026, the Young Minds group serves emerging adults ages 18–30 who may feel “stuck” as they navigate important life transitions. While often highly capable, participants may struggle with direction, motivation, or underlying core conflicts.

The outpatient group meets twice weekly, primarily in person with a virtual option, and incorporates a range of therapeutic modalities to help individuals better understand and address barriers to progress. Early response to the program has been strong, with all initial participants continuing beyond their original commitment, an encouraging indicator of impact. Learn more about Young Minds here.

About Steward Outpatient

The Steward Outpatient Program builds on Silver Hill’s successful Steward residential model. It offers an outpatient option for executives, professionals, and those with significant personal and professional responsibilities who require more support than traditional outpatient therapy, yet do not need the residential level of care.

Steward Outpatient delivers a combination of proven therapeutic modalities, including weekly sessions of psychodrama, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mentalization-based therapy (MBT), family systems, and interpersonal process group therapy.

The program meets three days per week, two in-person and one virtual, and emphasizes peer connection as a central component of the healing process. Participants also have access to additional services such as individual psychotherapy, medication management, family therapy, and a range of wellness offerings.
