Adolescent Depression

Dr. Swartz will review the prevalence, diagnosis, and treatment of Adolescent Depression. Suicide risk among adolescents and known risk factors will also be discussed. The development of the Adolescent Depression Awareness Program and results from this school-based high school education program for students, teachers, and parents will be highlighted.

As a result of participating in this activity, you should be able to:
- Review the prevalence, diagnosis, and treatment of adolescent depression
- Discuss the risk factors for suicide among adolescents
- Describe the development of and review the results of the of the Adolescent Depression Awareness Program
