Presented by:

Millie Rincón-Cortés, PhD
Assistant Professor of Neuroscience, Department of Brain and Behavioral Sciences, University of Texas at Dallas

This lecture will discuss the importance of the mother-infant bond, how we can model and disrupt this bond in rodents, and the detrimental neurobehavioral consequences that can arise in the mother-infant dyad as a result of disruption of this bond due to adversity exposure. This lecture will be framed in the context of understanding environmental influences as risk factors for affective and depressive disorders.
