Silver Hill’s Ryan Wade, MD, Shares His Perspective on Gambling Addiction

As sports betting surges around major events like the Super Bowl, Ryan Wade, MD, Director of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Substance Use (DBT-S) Program at Silver Hill Hospital, spoke with Mark Sudol of News 12 CT about growing concerns over gambling addiction. 

Dr. Wade explained common warning signs like obsessing over bets or hiding financial problems and shared that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or support groups such as Gamblers Anonymous can play a key role in recovery.
