This presentation will introduce what microaggressions are and how to understand them from the context of subtle acts of exclusion. It will also provide information that individuals can use to prevent making microaggressions themselves and to intervene when they see them happening around them.

 

Educational Objectives   

As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

Demonstrate awareness of what microaggressions are in order to minimize likelihood of committing a microaggression
Explain steps you can take to prevent microaggressions and to intervene when you see microaggressions happening to yourself and others
