How Much Does the Therapist Matter? Specific Interpersonal Skills to Improve Client Outcomes

How much do the interpersonal skills of the therapist contribute to psychotherapy outcomes compared with the specific therapeutic approach used? In this presentation, Theresa Moyers, PhD will examine empirical research highlighting therapist-specific effects on treatment success and will introduce eight specific interpersonal skills shown to enhance patient outcomes.
