This Grand Rounds will provide an update on the challenges encountered in patients with a co-morbid substance abuse and a history of, or current concussion. Diagnostic challenges will be addressed, along with specific treatment recommendations for clinicians. A discussion of the sensitization/kindling effects and the impact on the clinical phenotype will be provided, along with current neuroimaging research and its clinical relevance.
