Presented by:

During my presentation, I will discuss the epidemiology of gun violence in the US. In addition, I will cover the fact that health professionals are trusted messengers regarding their ability to communicate to patients about gun safety. Also, to be discussed include: domestic violence/intimate partner violence and gun suicides as the leading sources of gun-related deaths in the US, mass shootings and their relationship to a domestic-related incident(s), as well as safe gun storage locks and extreme risk protection orders (red flag laws). I will provide resources for health professionals to get more information as well.
