Samuel A. Ball, PhD
“Coming here is a HUGE step for our patients to take, but these disorders can substantially improve with the right treatment.”
Founding Director Sam Ball knows that high achieving Steward House patients expect results. “They come to us with addiction, mood and anxiety disorders and get the right kind of psychotherapy or medication or combination so they can completely turn their lives around.”
Dr. Ball, a clinical psychologist, has built his program around what he calls a “heavy reliance on therapy and professional level treatment” to achieve superior outcomes.
Those expected patient outcomes, Dr. Ball says, include “getting the symptoms that led to their coming here under excellent control; a plan for continuing treatment, self help and coaching after they leave us; and guidance to either get back on track or get on a different track regarding their work and relationships.”
Treating the disorders experienced by those who are used to being high level decision makers can be difficult, says Dr. Ball, but “they can remarkably – even miraculously – improve in a way that makes them better family members, leaders, and people.”
