Could it be Trauma?
Rarely, is complex trauma or a dissociative disorder diagnosed accurately at the outset of an individual’s treatment. Frequently, survivors of trauma receive several diagnoses and treatments that fail to take hold for many years. This leads to much time lost to ongoing suffering that could have been mitigated by the correct treatment for the underlying trauma or dissociative disorder.
