Silver Hill Hospital Names Alexis Briggie, PhD, as Director of Psychology
Welcoming our New Director of Psychology
In November 2024, Silver Hill Hospital welcomed Alexis Briggie, PhD, as our Director of Psychology. In this role, Dr. Briggie will oversee psychological services across all levels of care while enhancing the hospital’s psychology training programs.
Briggie joins Silver Hill from Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center in New York, where she most recently served as Associate Training Director of Psychology and Supervising Psychologist. “Silver Hill’s long-standing commitment to excellence means that our jobs are never done — we continuously refine, enhance, and move forward. Through further collaboration and enhanced training programs, we’ll continue to advance Silver Hill’s comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to patient care across our inpatient units, outpatient programs, and residential communities.” Dr. Briggie says.
In her new position, Briggie will evaluate Silver Hill’s psychotherapy services, expand our neuropsychological assessment capabilities, strengthen psychological services across clinical programs, and further develop our psychology training initiatives.
“Dr. Briggie’s clinical expertise and professional development experience align perfectly with Silver Hill’s mission to provide the highest quality treatments while advancing the field through education and training,” says Mark Russ, MD, Chief Medical Officer. “She joins an excellent team of Silver Hill psychologists, and we look forward to the enhancements she recommends and implements across our programs.”
